Description
The seeds of Annato are used in the dyeing of the yoga mat to provide health benefits when in contact with the skin due to its anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Organic Cotton is used for making these mats using annatto dyes .The cotton is a soft fluffy stable fiber, so when it is placed on the surface of the skin our body feels cool, relaxed and breathes freely. Annatto, in Ayurvedic practices, is associated with warming qualities, and its use on fabrics may help to balance cooling energies in the body.
Additionally, the color produced by annatto (a vibrant orange or yellow hue) could play a role in balancing the emotional and physical aspects associated with these colors in Ayurvedic healing.
