Description

Indian madder is a medicinal plant with a long history of use in traditional practices. It is widely known for its therapeutic benefits, particularly for skin health, detoxification, and blood purification thus supporting in eliminating excess Kapha and Pitta. The mat gives a cooling effect particularly in summer. In Ayurvastra, the roots of this plant are used to dye the organic cotton of the yoga mats imparting a deep or pale reddish hue to it.

Herb :Indian Madder (Mañjiṣṭhā, Rubia cordifolia)

Material : Natural 100% Organic Cotton

Care Instructions : Jeeva Yoga Mats require a hand wash in a tub or in a basin once in a month if it is used daily.

Process :

• Fill a tub or a basin with cold water.
• Add one tablespoon of soap nut powder.
• Make lather.
• Wash with your hands.
• Rinse off with a hose after hanging it in a suitable place to remove any extra soap nut.
• Dry in shade.

Special care instructions :

• Use only cold water to wash.
• Wash with your hands only.
• Do not dry in sunlight as that has a bleaching effect on natural dyes.
• Do not wash with commercial detergents. Only use soap nut.
