The Jeeva Indigo Yoga Mat is handcrafted out of organic cotton. It is treated with the herb Indigo and a concoction of medicinal herbs to impart it with its lush, deep blue color and healing properties. This process is zero waste and is totally nature friendly.

The yoga mat is plant dyed and medicinally infused. It is also energetically charged  before the threads are woven by hand and dyed in the dye bath of the indigo dye to create the mats that support your health and wellness.

In Ayurvastra, Indigo is used as both a natural dye for textiles and a medicinal herb in Ayurveda. It has cooling, soothing, and detoxifying effects on the body, and its use in fabrics aligns with Ayurvedic practices of enhancing well-being. The herb’s ability to dye textiles naturally and its holistic benefits make it an important plant in Ayurvedic traditions. This herb is helpful in balancing the pitta dosha (the element of heat).

Care Instructions : Jeeva Yoga Mats require a hand wash in a tub or in a basin once in a month if it is used daily.

Process :

• Fill a tub or a basin with cold water.
• Add one tablespoon of soap nut powder.
• Make lather.
• Wash with your hands.
• Rinse off with a hose after hanging it in a suitable place to remove any extra soap nut.
• Dry in shade.

Special care instructions :

• Use only cold water to wash.
• Wash with your hands only.
• Do not dry in sunlight as that has a bleaching effect on natural dyes.
• Do not wash with commercial detergents. Only use soap nut.
